About Dan

Dan Talmadge is a native of the Wiregrass, having been born and raised in Enterprise, Alabama. His father was a History Professor, and his mother was an English Professor. Dan developed a love of history, storytelling, and writing because of the influence of his parents.

Dan graduated with honors from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. While there, he not only fell in love with the law, but also greatly deepened his Christian faith. He is probably the only lawyer in South Alabama that was taught Civil Procedure by a Jesuit Priest.

Dan began his career as an attorney with the law firm of Cobb & Shealy, P.A. in Dothan, Alabama. During that time, he defended insurance companies and their insureds in civil cases. As a result of this experience, he gained valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate and settle claims.

Dan thereafter joined the law firm of Morris, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers, LLC, where he has primarily represented injured people in motor vehicle negligence, product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and worker’s compensation cases.  He understands the issues faced by personal injury plaintiffs and how to communicate with them.

Since 1998, Dan has litigated cases all over Alabama.  He has tried numerous personal injury cases to jury verdict.  He has successfully handled appeals in the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and Alabama Supreme Court.  He understands how judges and juries think about the various issues in personal injury cases.

Dan has served as a mediator resolving disputes for other lawyers and their clients for many years.  Dan’s background and experience uniquely qualify him to be a mediator.  He is an effective communicator.  He is a problem-solver.  He is a peacemaker.  He can bridge the gap and bring people together.
